The Black Women’s Expo (BWE), the three-day, experiential exposition celebrating the aspirations and achievements of women of African descent will debut in Atlanta on Friday, October 7th, at the Georgia World Congress Center. Under the theme “She Matters,” the BWE offers women an opportunity to get informed, empowered and enlightened, while discovering the latest trends and amazing new products and services specifically created for them. The Black Women’s Expo is now the longest running exposition of its kind, and celebrated 22 years this spring.

Founder Merry Green of MGPG Events, Inc. is no stranger to Atlanta, she previously produced Bishop T.D. Jakes’ Family Expo in TBD. “At the Black Women’s Expo we’ve always championed the fact that Black women matter, and we’ve sought to celebrate all the roles they fill in their family, career and community,” said Green. “We are more than excited to be in Atlanta with this rallying cry of support for Black women across the country.”

Presented by My Black is Beautiful (MBIB), in partnership with Walgreens, the BWE expects over 20,000 people to attend during its three-day run in Atlanta. “We’re honored to begin a partnership with the Black Women’s Expo, where we will continue to motivate thousands of extraordinary women not just to join the community, but to truly take part in the dialogue that positively affects their confidence and perceptions of self-image,” said Grace Janes, brand manager of My Black is Beautiful.
