Monica Coleman and Jamarr Rawlinson of Austell, Ga. were awarded a $35,000 business grant from Milwaukee-based Miller Brewing Company to help finance their small business, Creative Connections Mobile Barbershop as the top winners of the 2007-2008 Miller Urban Entrepreneurs Series’ Business Plan Competition. Larry Waters, Miller’s senior director for multicultural relations, Greg Webb, Miller’s distributor transaction manager, and Ralph Hollman president of the Milwaukee Urban League, presented the top winners with their award at the Blue Water Grill in Chicago. Miller representatives, community leaders, friends and family of the winners attended the awards dinner where a total of $150,000 was awarded to 12 competition winners.
