Lawson, Jr., President of BlaqueIce Productions, proudly announces the release of the President Barack Obama Commemorative Trilogy CD Collection in tandem with the unveiling of the Colonel Charles Young bronze maquette at the African American Museum and Library in Oakland, California.
BlaqueIce has joined forces with the National Coalition of Black Veteran Organizations to support the building of a monument in Washington, DC to honor the legendary Buffalo Soldier, educator, and diplomat, Colonel Charles Young, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of our new CD will be donated to this cause. “There is a direct correlation between black involvement in the defense of the nation and the election of the first black commander–in-chief in the history of our country,” says Lawson. “Colonel Charles Young is the standard bearer who symbolizes the honor and dedication of Black Americans who have served in the nation’s Armed Forces. Those contributions are the cornerstone of the historic Civil Rights Movements of past decades. “
The Trilogy CD Collection marries three historical speeches delivered by our Commander-in-chief, Barack H. Obama. The president’s words are enhanced with original music composed by BlaqueIce Productions, which—combined with the remarkable oratory by Obama– celebrate and exemplify the spirit of this country.
