ANSYS Appoints Janet Lee as General Counsel

Legal veteran brings decades of experience to engineering simulation leader

ANSYS  is adding to the ranks of its executive team by bringing on legal veteran Janet Lee as general counsel. Lee will help the engineering simulation leader navigate sophisticated legal topics as it enters the next phase of its growth.Lee brings ANSYS international legal and business expertise from more than two decades of experience working at law firms and high-tech companies around the world. She most recently served as senior legal officer at HERE Technologies, a global mapping and location services provider spun off in 2015 from Nokia Corporation. At HERE, she oversaw all legal and compliance activities and managed the patent portfolio.

Prior to that, she held leadership roles at Nokia, AOL and Renaissance Capital Group and worked at law firms in the United States and Russia. Lee is a graduate of Stanford Law School and earned a master’s in Russian studies from Harvard and a bachelor’s in economics and Russian from the University of Michigan.
