The successful candidate will bring at least ten years of professional fundraising experience. As a senior leader at Mount Auburn, the VP for Development will lead a growing team of professionals to advance philanthropic support and to engage community leaders and volunteers in support for the hospital. Expertise in major and planned giving, capital campaigns, annual fund, special events and donor relations will round out the skills needed to succeed. As Mount Auburn looks towards the future, development goals will include doubling philanthropic support and a forthcoming capital campaign.
The Vice President for Development will be an individual who has a broad and comprehensive understanding of development, progressive and successful fundraising experience (preferably in healthcare or higher education), and a strong track record of effective management. The ideal candidate is skilled at mentoring staff and working collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
