This position is responsible for the oversight and management of the technology support team and for fulfilling core technology support needs including desktop computing, audio-visual, and instructional technology support. Works closely with other departments to identify, deploy and support new instructional technologies for use in the curriculum. Investigate emerging learning technologies and methodologies and evaluate their applicability to classroom learning and online learning initiatives. Develop and recommend replacement and upgrade schedule for campus computers and software licenses. Maintain and continually revise the Help Desk Service Level Agreement to define software, hardware and computing system support policies. Provide classroom technology and A/V support for official courses and sponsored events. Position oversees and trains all technology and new media support staff.  The incumbent is a member of the academic and administrative technology management team and directs the core technology support activities for the Division.  Position works to deliver responsive, customer-centered technology support for all faculty, staff and students.

Qualifications:  Master’s degree in instructional technology, computer science information systems or related field. 3-5 years management experience providing technical support to diverse audience and have familiarity with instructional design principles. Direct experience training individuals on the use and maintenance of desktop and instructional technologies. Extensive knowledge of classroom technologies, multiple operating systems, technology enhanced learning environments (including audio-visual), tools, and resources.  Qualified candidates must have knowledge of effective help desk service practices along with superior computer and networking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively relate to wide range of working styles. Valid driver’s license required.
