The Partnership Associate Grant Writer is responsible for the development, writing, editing and submission of grant proposals, reports and other written materials to foundations and individual donors.  The position will support the partnership development efforts for the Piper Fund which works to build a movement to address corporate and special interest on our democracy.  This position reports to the Chief of Staff, and the organization prefers candidates who can work in the Amherst, Massachusetts location.

Qualified candidates should have these preferred skills: 

Bachelor’s degree and five years+ of experience in writing proposals and reports to foundations and individual donors.

Possess excellent writing skills, editing and proofreading skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-priority tasks and responsibilities under tight deadlines and schedules.

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team to complete assignments and strong computer literacy skills.

Experience working with Donor Perfect, Raisers Edge, or similar fundraising data management systems are a plus.

Knowledge of Money in Politics and Fair Courts topics a plus.
