Position is responsible for providing assistance with the daily operations of the office for the Vice President for Planning and Student Development and supports and participates in Planning and Student Development initiatives. Answer incoming telephone calls, screen calls and refer to appropriate department or person. Maintain the Vice President’s daily calendar of appointments. Manage the Student Information Desk, which includes hiring and supervising work study students, delegating tasks and job assignments, maintaining a log of staff hours, holding periodic training sessions, management of the Performing Arts Box Office. Order office supplies for the division.

Qualifications: Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ professional experience in an administrative support position required. Excellent service-oriented relationship skills; strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Independent, assertive collaborator with calm and supportive approach in a lively work environment; strong productivity focus and well-developed self-leadership skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Must project a positive, professional image. Demonstrated time management skills with event planning experience. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively. Proactive, independent collaborator who thinks differently and creatively problem solves. Discretion, diplomacy with ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters a must. Ability to work flexible and extended schedule including weekends and evenings when necessary required.
