Lois L. Lindauer Searches is proud to partner with The David Project in its search for their next Director of Institutional Advancement. This position presents a unique opportunity to play a crucial and public role within a cutting-edge organization during an exciting time of positive transition. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Institutional Advancement will be the chief fundraiser, overseeing all development and communications, and will also serve on the senior leadership team of The David Project. This position is charged with creating innovative approaches to expanding the donor base, working closely with the organization’s core group of philanthropic leaders to determine how the organization can best benefit from their support, identifying donors with capacity to make significant contributions, and collaborating with the Executive Director to secure individual and foundation support. The Director of Institutional Advancement will also oversee branding, messaging and communications of the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a mission driven, entrepreneurial and experienced development leader, knowledgeable in all areas of institutional advancement including annual campaigns, major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, volunteer and board management, fiscal oversight, technology, and communications and marketing. The successful candidate will have a proven track record securing five and six-figure major gifts, expanding the pipeline of major donor prospects, and achieving results. Familiarity with the greater Boston Jewish philanthropic community coupled with a strong presence and persuasive voice will complement the senior management team at The David Project.
