It is a space within the imagination of the artist, Mari Hall, based on her time spent in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti during carnival. Hall is a self-taught artist who spent many years painting in oil and aqueous media. Since 2004,she has been producing digitally creative artworks. Check out her online exhibits  at http://marihalldesigns.webnode.com.

Her newest collection of digitally creative artworks, Bedon Godo,  consists of 18 distinctive pieces with the central theme of memory. The name “Bedon Godo” is reminiscent of song phrases that are popular and chanted aloud during carnival and the words have a melody within the phrase that is easy to remember and mimics the local language of Haitian creole.

Hall’s “Bedon Godo” artworks are small-format open edition prints produced on card stock. The artwork is mixed media, containing hand-produced elements introduced into a digital composition.
