Take a Chance

In a day and age where hip­hop has a string of
negative connotations attached to it, such as
misogyny, glorifying violence and full of
inappropriate language, young Chance has
been able to put a new spin on rap music in
order to make it enjoyable for multiple
generations no matter how old.

My 78­year­old grandmother couldn’t resist
tapping her foot and snapping her fingers along
to the music. With inspirational and spiritual
lyrics like, “When the praises go up, the
blessings come down”, it is hard not to praise
this really young person doing a very cool
thing.
